Tasha Tudor Tea Time

Hello everyone,
I am writing this post in the afternoon of Easter Sunday.
This morning I attended a beautiful Easter Sunday service
and after church we had a lovely brunch with
our family. It's now the late afternoon on
Easter Sunday, and I am writing this post
about a most interesting women, Tasha Tudor.
A beautiful tea cup and saucer and daffodils.
Come into my guest room, and my retreat...
I have been fascinated by Tasha Tudor for years.
While shopping at a small church thrift store
I asked the clerk if they had any Tasha Tudor
garden books? She said " I might have
something in the storage shed" and she left
to look in the shed.  In about five minutes
she brought back this book. I said "how much?"
She said, "one dollar" and I said "I'll take it."
Now I own my first Tasha Tudor book.
'DRAWN FROM NEW ENGLAND'
Tasha Tudor
A Portrait In Words and Pictures
By Bethany Tudor
'Royal Grafton'
A sweet hankie from my mother's collection.
These words are on the back cover.
Here, is a brief but charming text and a wealth of pictures,
is the life story of Tasha Tudor, an artist whose life and work
are interwoven to form a pattern of living that is itself a
work of art. Bethany Tudor has written a warm and
loving biography of her mother that provides
the reader with firm and joyous evidence that
dreams can and do come true.
The daffodils are blooming in the garden.
A good read, cup of tea and beautiful flowers,
it just doesn't get any better than this.
This year I would like to find more tea cups with the beautiful
solid color on the outside and beautiful inside.

If one advances
confidently in the direction
of his dreams, and endeavors to live
the life which he has imagined, he will meet
with a success unexpected in common hours.

EASTER PARADE~TBT

MARCH 2016
THROW BACK THURSDAY
My Granddaughters are now 16 years old in April and fourteen years old.
We are planning to have Easter dinner with our daughter, friend and granddaughters this Sunday and I wanted to share with you the wonderful time we had some years ago.

Hi everyone,
How's your Easter plans going? My weekend is going to be pretty low key. Sweetheart and I are having our daughter and two granddaughters over for brunch on Easter Sunday.
My 11 year old granddaughter printed the letters on my new chalk board tray. I love the way she prints.
Happy Easter!
The other day I found an old silver plate tray I wasn't using, and decided to  paint it with some amazing chalkboard paint.  I love to play with paint and this is such a cute idea.
While shopping for our brunch I picked up a beautiful lily. I wrapped it in some burlap I had on hand and tied a bow with a pink gingham ribbon.
I love the rustic look the burlap gives the tablescape with the pink...gingham ribbons.
The baskets with candy are ready to be eaten, and the pink lemonade in my Italian bottles all ready to have a refreshing  drink and a light brunch.

And the jar of colored eggs are so festive and spring like.
Yum! Candy! I love Chocolate. Can you tell?
The everyday flatware is wrapped in linen napkins with more pink gingham ribbon.

I'm serving brunch on vintage snack serving sets. The wonderful sets have been with me since the early 60's.  I used the delightful sets for many bridal and baby showers, and I have such fond memories of those days gone by.

As always, I'm so happy you've come to visit My Cozy Corner.
We will be outside doing some gardening and photo shoots.
Please come back soon.

Easter Tea

Hello everyone,
Easter Sunday is seven days away and I wanted to share with you my
Easter Tea, decorated Easter tree and a couple of
new vintage tea cups and saucers.
Last year after the Easter holiday, I found these bunny
plates at Barnes and Noble on clearance. I have
been saving them to use this year for my Easter tea time.
The little Easter ornaments came from Tuesday Morning
last year also. The Easter tree with the cute butterfly
I bought at the thrift shop for $4.00 dollars.
Mr. and Mrs. Rabbit
accompany
Miss Bunny Radish
and
Mr. Bunny Carrot
for some Easter tea.
I have been saving this tea pot to share with you also.
I call this tea pot 'No Name' because it has no name on
the bottom of the pot.
