Girls Trip to San Francisco

Hello everyone,
I am so excited to share my trip to San Francisco a couple
of weeks ago.  We started out adorned with our new hats I knitted.
I took the back seat with my granddaughter called "The Bookworm."
And gave the driving duty to my daughter. My granddaughter in the front seat
is the GPS professional. We live about four hours from the city, and
once we cross the Bay Bridge, Beth helps her mother maneuver
the city streets of San Francisco.  Our first stop was San Francisco
State University for a two-hour tour. The bookworm is applying
to colleges in California, and she wanted to see the campus.
After the college tour, we checked into our hotel.
In the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel is the most beautiful
Christmas Tree.
Also in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel is a Giant Gingerbread House.
I will share a post about the Gingerbread House, later this week.
If you haven't been to San Francisco during the holiday season,
I would suggest you put it on your bucket list.
I have wanted to visit the city at Christmas for over 50 years.
The girls were so wonderful to share my experience.
We walked to Union Square to see the Christmas tree.
And checked out Macy's windows decorated with
real wreaths hanging from every window.

The palm trees were lite with sparkling lights and the Ice skating rink
was busy with skaters enjoying an unseasonably warm evening.

The next morning we spent the day at the Academy of Science and
the de Young museum.
The Fairmont Hotel is on Nob Hill, and it was a gorgeous day
to be a tourist.
Please check back in a few days and I will have the rest of my visit to
San Francisco ready for viewing.
Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I was actually born in San Francisco so I'm so happy to see but you enjoyed your time there! What a beautiful family you have until thrilling that must have been to have your granddaughters with you to share the experience. Looking forward to the rest of your trip.
